Please do something!

It 's a real nightmare to access to the forum, the mxm website, the general website and the think website since few weeks. If i don't use a proxy i can't access to anything. The problem is that it become also very difficult to find some working proxy from China. Excepted maxwell i can access to all the other general website without any problem.

it's sad to hear that... looks like the big censorship firewalls block more than they should....

i dont't know if this will work for you, but it might be worth a try, as it is also developed for situations where people are not granted free access to the internet, ..

another type of anon-proxy service, developed at Dresden university.

It can also run without accessing proxies directly, using other peers running the client to get behind censorhip firewalls... but it won't give you any good downloadspeed for materials and such...

and then there is tor

haven't installed it myself, but it is widely used... guess you know it allready.

WOW....thank you very much Polynurb! I have download the anon-proxy service from Dresden university and it work really well...i haven't get so good access to maxwell forum since a long time and now it's really fast. I even can access to flickr .... i will definitely recommend this tool to some of my Chinese friend.

I suggest you recommend it in person and not thru the Net. You don't want this to get banned as well.

Even by keeping it quiet, after few days it's not working anymore
Damn, they are fast... anyway i see no reason to not have access to this forum from China. And actually i can access to it directly but i need to wait around 5 min to load a page so i think the problem come from maxwell server or provider that should "block/limit" access from china.

I don't mean to turn this topic around, but damn, how do you guys put up with that kind of treatment (like gov't is parent and you are children).

Anyway, I hope you get it figured out because you are one of the Maxwell masters and we need your input here.

the cascades are not always running smoothly,... it is normal...
i checked here and it is not working form me either right now.
the free mixes are all run by non profit people so there is quiet some downtime here and there... let's hope for the best.
