Can you submit render's from a machine running win xp 64 to machines running win 32. The 64 bit machine has 3dmax 64 installed and the render farm has 3dmax 32 installed. Is their problems with doing this?

Do you mean a Maxwell render or a Scanline or Mental Ray render?

For Scanline and Mental Ray the answer is "no." What you can do though is install the 32-bit version of Max on your 64-bit machine also. The license will work for both versions on the same machine. When you are ready to submit to the render farm open your file in the the 32-bit version and all the 32-bit machines will pick it up.

One of the guys from Autodesk was here in Austin a few months ago and he explained that it has something to do with the "random" command in programming and that you get different answers from 32-bit and 64-bit machines and that's why they can't do jobs submitted from the other platform.

Hope this helps.
