I have a nvidia quadro 980 glx video card and I just wonder how this video card will compare with the new fx's or gforce? I paid almost $800 per this video card and I don't know if a new $250 video card will out perform my old video card.
Thanks for the input.

They probably will. That card is pretty ancient and I had one myself, which I switched with a (pretty old now as well), geforce 6600. The 6600 was more responsive, plus you can use more recent drivers on it, it can support newer versions of OGL and directx.

There's also an ATI chart there too .....

Maybe it'll help, .....old cards are obviously not listed.

I'm actually looking at upgrading to an FX1500 from an FX1400 for the dual link capability - need for support of certain widescreen displays. The nvidia comparison chart show pretty good numbers for the 1500 compared even to the FX4500.
