:lol: not saying that i do, but a photo naturally wouldn't fail that test. Healthy eyes always have that glossy look (like e.g. here) to them and i think the artist used either too much reflection blur or the reflection map doesn't fit the camera settings.
And I think the skin texture is near perfect. Any more shine and people would be saying it looked like plastic. You know that you would. :wink:

You can't say eyes should always be very glossy, it depends on the environment:

I meant they themselves should always be glossy, reflective or whatever you want to call it, no matter if here's anything bright to be reflected or not. The eyes in the image in my opinion either don't suit the lighting or the camera setup and that shows.

Let's end this discussion, i think it's an amazing render but it doesn't blow me away as much as some other stuff i've seen, could well be related to the subject aswell.
