Hello,

I'm still on v4 of Maxwell because I use the Maya plugin on OS X. I'm keen on giving Maxwell Studio a try, but my understanding is right now I can only purchase that in v5. If I do this, will it mess up my ability to use the Maya plugin? Can I run two different versions? What is the best path moving forward?

Hello Matt,

Yes, for the moment, the plugin for Maya on Mac is not available, but it's on the way. It will be ready soon.
Regarding trying Studio out, there should be no problem as it will install in a Maxwell Render 5 folder and the demo license file will be stored in a v5 folder, so it shouldn't break anything. You will be able to use the MW4 plugin for Maya along with MW5 Studio.
