How does Cinema 4D compare to Maxwell?

I realize it works and this maybe its big selling point!

I am an architect and I need to deliver renderings so I need a product that works!!!!

Cheers,

Wm

Download the demo at maxon.net and take it for a test spin.

What are you using right now for a 3D package?

I use BOA to make my models and construction documents. And then I have been rendering things in an old copy of Artlantis. (3.5 running in classsic)

I am experienced with Archicad, Autocad and Vectorworks.

I am looking to get some renderings done and need something that is OS X native and easy to use.

Texturing is brilliant in C4D (though you can forget about the displacement feature).

As you are an architect I must still warn you, because C4D's indirect lighting is an endless catastrophe. Fighting the unavoidable artefacts in internal spaces will drive you crazy. (This is why so many C4D users are waiting for the Max plugin, I guess.)

I currently use ArchiCAD with Cinema4D. There is an export plugin for ArchiCAD to Cinema, don't use it. It only works one way. There is however another plugin called Maxon Form that will allow you to transfer between the two programs. It can come in handy.

Hello Everyone,

It looks like our chance to see what Maxwell has to offer is almost upon us.
A release date of the 17TH of January, has been expressed by Victor.
So fingers crossed and dust off those Mac Processors.

Regards.

Hello all,

Am in the middle of reading a very good document release notice
by Mike Verta - ATeam member. Then came across this Heading.

" It's Been 7 Months Since "Beta" Was Released. What Have You Been Doing All This Time?!! "

Well Mac Maxwell users, what have you been doing?
Found this open ended question funny.

Just had to post it, for it made me smile.
