Hello. Thank you for comment. You touch very interesting and a little controversial theme. I know what you mean but please let me explain my point of view. Yes I added a little chromatic aberration on postpro. I don't use a rendering process as a push the render key only at the end. Before starting my work I think about final effect, try to imagine mood and gather informations how I can achieve that. With rendering program or also with the postproduction. Which elements build the final effect in real ? This is always complex process especially when we work on realistic views. In this case it's only a test image. I imagine very specific situation when we take careless photograph by poor compact camera with flash. Strong flashlight especially when used in small interiors generates a high contrast photographs. In addition, low quality optics generates in this kind of light conditions very visible chromatic aberrations. This is the main reason why I need aberrations here
Second example. My wife use a Fuji X20 small camera. She carries fuji in her typical women handbag. As we know women's handbag is one of the most chaotic place in the whole universe

My wife very often put her fingertips on the front lens. I bought her a UV filter because I prefer cleaning filter than lens

The question is. If I will need to make a render with simulation of the dirt lens by fingertips should I use Maxwell obstacle map feature with attached to Maxwell instalation fingertips bitmap ? Or not because we need only prefect reality ? We should use every feature which help us to catch the mood. Reality is complex and also consists of our or equipment ( optics for examples ) mistakes .
I uderstand your opinion and I agree generally with you. I also don't like situations when somebody creates a poor render and add full chromatic aberration to make it a more real. It isn't a good way to achieve a realism.
