Everything related to Maxwell Render and general stuff that doesn't fit in other categories.

Wow...the MW OSX hall is empty...only hearing the echo of my own postings at this point.

I've got 18 gigs of ram and MW render is only using 2.32 gigs per scene...if I read activity monitor correctly. Also, Studio uses slightly less than
1 gig when working with the same scene, but after leaving the scene standing for a few hours...I've come back to find that it's using 10 gigs of ram, the scene is
extra slow, unresponsive -- seems kinda strange. As I said before, Vista 32 bit is more responsive with the same scene and 2 gigs of ram!

Have often wondered about this too, Maxwell seldom seems to use all my RAM, though i've often put it down to my lack of scene complexity.

I wonder if it increasing over time on your system is something to do with temp files being saved out.

I'm far from knowledgeable on software development but why would there be such a ram limit (2.32 gigs) when using OSX 64 bit?
I haven't tried adjusting the CPU threads in studio...I've generally been under the impression that it wasn't necessary and I have to say, at
this point, I'm a bit weary from the issues I've had already.
