Everything related to Maxwell Render and general stuff that doesn't fit in other categories.

I have tried everything I know to do. I followed the instructions to the letter and finally got the Cinema plugin working, but now when I try to render anything it tells me that it can't find my license file. I just have the 3 lines like the instructions said and I installed it in the correct place. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi,

I encountered the same problem a few weeks ago and contacted NL. They told me to change the file rights to this (excerpt form the original NL mail):

Look if license.txt has -r--r--r--
If not, do chmod ugo+r license.txt

After doing this my licence worked fine.

And I have heard that it´s sometimes useful to put the licence.txt out of the maxwell.app package, restart your computer and place the file back to the directory.

Hope this helps.

I tried both of those suggestions. Nothing worked. Anyone else have any ideas?

Hi,

I think it would be better if you drop a few lines to NL with a brief description of what you have done so far. The NL guys are very friendly and always try their best to satisfy your needs. Don´t forget to post your system config...

My hard drive crashed, so I decided to buy Tiger. I installed Tiger, reinstalled Maxwell and the new Cinema 4D plugin and all is working now. Thanks for your help.
