I have installed 1.5 on my Mac G5 Dual 2.5. I left 1.1 installed. I have been trying to test it out, but I get the spinning beach ball a lot. Big delays between operations. Is anyone else having this problem? I need to test it out with some other files.

No good memories to different installs on one machine. Try with your 1.1 installation archived into a zip file. Then you can almost as easily revert if necessary.

Here, this works well:
1. previous (1.1) Maxwell folder: copy license.dat and customised files (preview mxs files, mxm library, etc) to a safe place
2. zip the entire 1.1 folder, delete original. Move zip to a safe place.
3. open 1.5 dmg file, copy Maxwell folder to Applications directory
4. put license.dat into new Maxwell folder and merge your custom files with the pristine set.
5. launch MXCL once by doubleclicking the icon - this is working now, no Terminal required any more. You must have run MXCL once in order to get renders to launch both from Studio and the plugins later on.

I do have some small issues with 1.5 on a G5 Mac (2.5 Quad). But altogether I am pleased so far. Thank you Juan, Nachob, and who else is working on the PPC build.
