I have a G5 DP with 1.25 Gb ram, I started a 4200 pix wide render yesterday evening, and now 12 hours later the SL is still 0.74. I hear my harddisk rattle and rattle, so I guess there is so much swapping around that it just does not advance. I closed as much processes as possible, to no avail.
do you think adding memory will help enough, if so, how much (and don't say as much as possible, I don't have the money...) I can afford 1gig extra at the moment, 2 if I starve next month.
and then, will my purchase be obsolete after the release of MW 1.0? I know this is pretty much a redundant question...

tnx
