Hi to all.

I've tried to set environment's variable in ubuntu as stated in the documentation and in the forum here, but to be honest I'm not sure if I succeeded.

Actually I'm able to run the viewer by directly pointing to it (typing the entire path, not only mxcl command) in a terminal with the option -d: viewer appears but with this warning in terminal:

Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x4cc)!

I am also unable to load the plugin for maya. When I try to load it Maya gives me this error:

Code: Select all

Error: Cannot find procedure "mayallCreateUI".

I hope to have been clear enough. Someone can help me?

finally I got it setting environment variables in .gnomerc (you have to create it if it doesn't exist) in profile varibles. just for the record
