Hey folks - I have RC5 running on my dual 1.25 G4. I'm havng import object issues with LW objects, but worked around that for now. I'm testing the UV mapping (Projectors) and I have taken Mike Verta's advice and made the UV maps outside of Studio with a placeholder bitmap attached to the object in LW. In fact, everything seems to be okay:
1) I check the projector included with the imported object - it is "Locked", the designation for the imported UV map, and it is channel 0.
2) I make a material for the object and I set the reflectance channel to my bitmap image for the UV.
3) In the camera view, the "Textured Decal" view is correct, with the checkered UV Map Image I have selected in step "2" above.
4) I Preview the render in Studio (switching from Textured Decal to Preview also gets rid of that yellow cast on the Mac preview). All is well.
HOWEVER:
5) Here is the render in Maxwell, with physical sky (no sun):
Not good. The UV mapping surface appears to be 0% reflective.
Any thoughts? I also tried adding another layer to the material, a simple lambertian, white and a 50-50 weight map with the UV image map layer and still, no dice.
