Actually I was wrong, the bloom came back, not sure if its a bug or related to blur, because I also reduced the blur.
Also I was wrong about putting the spotlight and fill light inside the glass

, only the emitter seen by camera needs to be inside the glass.
Is hide to ref not working now/ not working with spotlights? The glass piece casts a shadow whatever I do?

Anyway much better render although the look has been compromised now that the spotlight sits in front of the lens.
This solution is faster than using an enclosure and therefore much faster than a ies of equivalent sharpness. I wonder what the projector setting is useful for now we have spotlight?
