when i save a scene in V4 there are two other formats : mxa , mxb
what is the difference between them and mxs ?

I can't find info about new format in docs.

My assumption is that it's like Maya's .ma format, in ascii, which can be easily edited. And maybe not

Those write what will eventually be the new Maxwell format. They should not be exposed at this point.
