I've downloaded the new Beta version 1.2 from the site. But it unstuffs as version 1.033 and when I install and run it the maxwell app says version 1_1_33_0001_alpha_ at the bottom. I re-downloaded today to check again but still the same? any Idea's or is this normal?
Also it wont start a render when I send it from Cinema 4D but i presume this is a different issue!

you're not alone .-)

the cinema problem probably can be related to a wrong installation. did you double check that all paths are set correctly? does maxwell start when you double click an MXS file? but also, did you specify an existing path in the C4D plugin for output?

Hi Again,

I've checked all that, I've re-set the cache on the browser, it says version 1.2 beta G5 on the site but when downloaded it is actually the 1.033 version.
Who knows? all the permitions are right I think as it wasa working before.
I replaced the Old version so the new one is the only one anywhere on my system.
Interestingly after the last attempt to re-install - just to check - when i hit render in the Cinema plugin it launches Final Cut Pro? very odd...

Still won't render anything.

[And i noticed as other people have mentioned that the interactive content of the manual - which is a great idea - is not working. with osX 10.4.1 with Quicktime7.1 Pro and Acrobat reader 7]

did you set the file path to end with .mxs? that's necessary for the system to know what application should be launched.
