Hi,

the scene of my previous topic rendered over the weekend. And the result this morning again shows fireflies in the final image...

Check the screenshot downbelow. Simple scene with 900000 polys. Setup is done in MXStudio. 2 standard materials used. 2 emitting planes in the scene.

Rendered on a MacPro 8Core and PowerMac g5 Dual2.7

cheers - bjoern

Hi bejack,
Just two questions:

did you update to the last version in both machines?

If you render that scene in both computers separately can you see the fireflies in any of them separately?

Thanks

Hi nachob,

both machines have 1.5.0.2 installed. At the moment i am rendering the scene standalone (no network rendering) on my MacPro. as soon as visible i will send you information if the fireflies are visible or not. My PowerMac is busy with another project so that i can test it there only during the night...

best

just an update on the rendering progress....

fireflies occur on the MacPro machine. Since the rendering reached SL ten with each update there is one more dot to see in the image. In the image they are white, in the preview they have a black color.

Hi nachob,

fireflies are only visible in renderings on the MacPro. The rendering on my PowerMac doesn´t have any firefly.
