Oh, good news :D

Will there be also a 32-bit version? And will this version work with old Athlon CPUs (v1.0 does, v1.1 does not)?

Thank you for the information.

It won't work on old Athlons, and it never will again in the future. Do you want them to improve the engine or make it backwards compatible? :)

32bit would be a good idea though, still most widespread arch right now.

NL mailed me two times that they are solving this problem. So i have hope

Both, other programs have backward compatibility too. But if they decide to cancel it, i want to be informed early.

Juan, i'm very interested in this version, as i work mostly with linux. i know this is not your politic anymore to give release date, it is a good thing i think. But i'd like to know if we can wait for it before the end of the year or not ?
i'm not waiting for a date, just a "no, i dont think so" or "yes, if all things go well, should be there before 2007!"

will the studio be available too?

running gentoo & LFS here, if you need me to test anything, let me know.

btw, thank you very much, this version is all we need ;)

If i understood correctly, it was the lack of SSE (1) instructions that caused some cpus to fail in 1.1. I don't know how much SSE instructions affect Maxwell's speed and what function they're used for but i imagine they wouldn't like to strip them out again. Maybe if they added arch specific versions like Cebas does?

I volunteer aswell, i'd be willing to take the heavy burden of testing 1.2

Juan, any news about the 32 bits linux version?

Will it be released with the 64 bits version? That would be great.
