when saving, be sure to write the complete filename with ending, like .TGA for targa or .MXI for maxwell image. should work.

But Now nl should look at this to come over this little bug

more than a bug i would call it an interface design choice. they decided to let the user type the file ending to let the program know WHAT kind of image will be saved. not ineffective...

but, wait - of course, for us non-technical and 'viced' mac users there have to be some shiny buttons or 12 menu entries to choose from
