To access the Maxwell documents you need to right click on the Maxwell.app and select Show Package Contents the navigate to Contents >> MacOS >> doc

You'll find:

license_agreement.rtf
changes.txt
maxwell_white_paper.pdf >> list of commands
maxwell_mxcl.pdf
