Ok, ok. Maybe i have screamed EUREKA! too soon. I had the "black" problem again: black surfaces supposed to be textured. Then the problem seemed to solve by itself. I only have reset the temp folder.
Now, let's try to support each other and to spot the origin of this bug. Anyone has a precise idea about?

It is working for me now but i don't know why. I guess the problem lies in in the paths, but it is just an intuition.

Hello Mattia,

What solution are you working with.
Is it Lightwave, modo, Cinema or any other?

Thanks...

It is, just for testing, a C4D file exported as .OBJ.
Opened again the same scene today and it didn't work!
Clicked randomly the color samples and after ten minutes rendered again correctly.

I have reached the believing that the problem lies in the way MXCL reprocesses the several channels in order to respect the conservation of luminous energy, as it is written into the manual. In fact the second color in reflectance channel, turns to the color expected whenever adjusted any of the other channels (reflectance 90° and transmittance)
The bug is that MXCL seems to overwrite what shown into studio.
I still cannot spot the relations between the .mxs file and the paths....do you think that bitmaps are embedded into .mxs file?
If so WHY the same file renders correctly at midnight, than wrong the day after and then right again?

Keep up the great detective work on this one Mattia! I can get the bump and roughness channels to render the Projector map but I get the black reflectivity on my machine at work. When you say you "reset the temp folder" what exactly does that mean?

thanks,

kirk
