Good news it installs correctly doesn't crash as much. So rather than bitch and moan I thought I'd try a few things to help stamp out the bugs.

The Plug-in / render is not working assigning materials doesn't work refer BUG pics 1,2 and 3 below. It's a bit weird because one window says there are no materials or emitters but the preview does have some colours as per the Beta.

Tried to import into Standalone, imports ok but doesn't bring the camera view refer BUG pic 4. I haven't tried to create a new camera as yet or anything else for that matter.

same here, no material assignment resulting in black and white reflection images......damn - RC1 worked better.

I cross posted this to the RC Bug report forum and got a reply from Juan. It's a known bug there is a new plugin due for the sw plugin.

John - Glad your on the job.

I get the B&W images. They start with a bit of colour and then slowly go B&W -

Using a custom emmitter I then changed the power 5000W 500W 50 W 5w but all the renders were the same !

I'll wait for the new plugin.

Reading about the success others have with the studio is baffeling because I can't get any good results - they are very similar to the SW plugin.
