Maxwell now seems to render hidden surfaces.

I am sure this was not the case before - or am I mistaken.

I don't know how others work with Sw - but I use surfaces to cut to etc and then 'hide' them in the model.

In maxwell I have tried selecting 'components' and 'bodies' but my hidden surfaces still render. Is this happening with others?

It is impossible to 'suppress' these surfaces as the whole SW Cad model would collapse.

Can this be fixed - I presume we select 'bodies' in Maxwell if we don't want the surfaces rendered.

Hi Jonathon

I had the same problem with my first attempt, refer thread on RC1 Bugs. You don't have to suppress the hidden surfaces you can just delete them all. Deleting the surfaces at the end of the feature tree will not affect your model, select them under the surface bodies folder.

And no in the beta you didn't have to perform this work around.

You learn something new everyday - I never new you could delete the surfaces  - SW must have anticipated this bug in Maxwell !!

Dear SW users,
We are fixing essential areas of the main core and in a few days we will update a new version. After that we will update the plugin to make the workflow easier. For example, I am adding an optional feature to export faces to MX studio. So when you open in Studio a mxs generated in Sw you will see in the triangle cluster list the faces of the model, it will make the material assignment so much easy. SolidWorks users are hight priority for us and we will continue improving the powerful of the plugin. ;)
Regards,

Juan

So, is this a known issue?
