I believe there is a problem in the latest plugin when assigning materials: If I pick a single body and press the assign checkmark, the material is assigned. But if I select a bunch of bodies or part at the same time and press the assign checkmark, the selection disappears but the actual assignment doesn't happend. The "?" reports no material assigned and the body renders without the material.

As you say, there is a bug in the latest release. It will be solved for the next update of the plugin (as soon as possible).
