Anyone tried it yet? I tried to install it, but the install crapped out and then broke my 2007 installation, so I'm done for now, unless I put it on a different machine. (Which I may do when I have a bit of time.)

Have they gotten around to adding proper texturing tools?

I'm not sure about the texturing tools, but I know that starting with SW2007 (Spin 3.1) SW has changed the licensing registration scheme. This may be the reason you are having problems. You may want to contact your VAR to resolve this.

I'm running 2007 and 2008 beta on the same machine without issue. You need to make sure you install to different folders (c:\programs\sw 2007....c:\programs\SW 2008) As Mike mentioned you may have to upgrade your 2007 license registration after installing 2008 but it's painless.

Yeah, already upgraded the license, and they were installed in different folders. Don't know why it didn't work. So... more importantly, have the texturing tools improved in 2008?

I can't say because of beta NDA.

I will be in Denver for the SWUGN Summit in August. I can show you then :)

If they sort out the texturing I would be soooooooooooo happy. Then i could try and animate from it.

Oops, forgot about the NDA. Guess I'll have to install it myself after all.
