It happens when you are trying to apply a material with a texture over an object that does not have texture coordinates. martgreg, could you check if the flags "hidden from camera", "hidden from GI" or "Hidden from Reflections/Refractions" are checked for this object? You can check it in Studio, in the display section of the object parameters panel.But if I try to render it in MW or Render Viewport it turns invisible.
