Hi tpgreenwood,

perhaps due an unknown reason the "render" channel is disabled and you are rendering only the "alpha" channel or other one? Could you check your render options?

Probably because it can't find an image for mapping or you don't have enough projectors... when it opens mxcl/starts the render check the tab 'Console' (i think).

Hi TP

I get this all the time because when transferring the mxs files from my laptop I forget to transfer all the jpg maps with it.
Better file management on my part would help, as would a simple message; "image missing! .......jpg".

I am using 1.5 on XP Home.

However It works fine on my preview viewport

But if I try to render it in MW or Render Viewport it turns invisible.

I also tried it with the pre loaded scene # 4 and instead of invisible it goes black.. what is happeneing here ?

I placed teh image used for teh map in the materials /textures folder....


Any idea what is happeneing ?

It happens when you are trying to apply a material with a texture over an object that does not have texture coordinates. You can solve that creating a UV set in Studio or applying a SolidWorks texture in SolidWorks, both ways generate UVs data in the object.
But if I try to render it in MW or Render Viewport it turns invisible.
martgreg, could you check if the flags "hidden from camera", "hidden from GI" or "Hidden from Reflections/Refractions" are checked for this object? You can check it in Studio, in the display section of the object parameters panel.

If its any help I am just trying to learn the decals thing. So what I did what follow the tutorial by just copying an existing difuse material and then I added the image file and changed teh valuse of teh materials...

Its wierd that it does this !!
