Hi John,

There might be some incompatiilities between addins (edrawings, Pw, Maxwell...) I would disable the ones you's not using each time. If you are not in a hurry I encourage you to wait untill the new plugin is released. It has material preview, the material editor embed (in example you dont need to launch it as an external app anymore), you can drag'drop materials over entities to assign them, you can import materials into the scene drag'dropping them from the desktop or from the material browser, there is a tree list that displays the SW hierarchy and which material is assigned to each entity, you also can change the material assigments there, there is an earth globe to set the sky like in maxwell studio, the connection with the new studio 1.2 has been improved...) we will show some videos in the incoming days.

Ok -- I'll hold off with installing the 2007 plugin and continue working with the 2006 one.

I know you don't like such questions, but do you have an idea of when the new plug-in will be released ?...
It's new features sound really good and I'd like to upgrade my SW to 2007.

Have you been implement the possibility to define default values such as default materials and settings loaded in plug-in ?

Yes. Now you can hit the "save as default" button of the render settings/sky/camera dialog to save the current values as default for new scenes. Also you can specify an mxm as the default material for entities without material applied.
