Hey John,
I understand why you want this, but you shouldn't have to worry. Even if SolidWorks gets 1% in that poll NL has promised a plugin for the platform.

I worry when people start threads that essentialy say me first, me first. This thread is unscientific and does nothing but seperate the users. Most of us I think want the plugin route, but there is a small base that wish to go the studio way? Everyone should just stick together and make their voice heard on the general issue of plugins vs Studio. I vote PLUGINS.

Unfortunately someone either an administrator or a moderator has made the poll a sticky. Hence, I believe NL is possibly giving it some weight in their decision making. This is why I think people who want continuing work on the SolidWorks plug-in should vote.

I agree the “me first” approach is rather pathetic, but there are lots of people baying for blood over the so call RC and NL, sadly, may well responded to those that shout the loudest.

You are right about this. The poll also says take the program you use most. I'm sure many use at least two, I know I do. I use Rhino for all my ID work, and then transition over to Alibre. I will soon ditch Alibre for SolidWorks.

Want to have fun sometime. Try to make a water tight model for a 3D printer with Rhino. :)
