I have noticed that on a model with many tangent faces. Like in the range of 30 or more when I right click then select tangency solidworks bogs down for minutes at time depending on how many tangent faces there are. Is there a way around this. Its very hard to work when the plugin slows things down like this. If I turn on faces in my selection filter and drag a window over the whole model it selects things quickly. I am not sure why the select tangency from right click is slower compared to this method.

I hadn't noticed this before. It is slow because SW is sending the plugin a 'new selection' message for each entity found during the select-tangency routine, rather than finding all tangent faces and sending one message with the whole list. I am aware of no way for the plugin to know that this is happening - as far as it can tell, you might just be holding down CTRL or SHIFT and adding these entities to the selection manually. Window-selecting in a .sldprt is fast because the 'new selection' message is only sent once, and it's fast in an assembly because only components are selected, regardless of the filter. The only solution to this particular issue that I can recommend at this time is to disable the plugin temporarily.
