I don't know of any way to do that in SolidWorks, since you don't have access to the actual meshes. You will need to use Studio's merge (select objects > right-click > Merge Objects) function.

ok...thanks. Please tell me the new plugin is coming soon... the more I "stress" the SW/MX interface the easier its getting it to break...

That could be at any time - testing is done, but it takes some time to upload, change links, inform resellers, etc.. When you say 'break', are you mainly referring to issues during object-selection like you reported earlier?

Glad to hear the plugin is on its way. Yeah, selection, moving things, materials not staying attached to objects... I'm most likely one of those guys that does something and when its reported you say "now why the hell would he do that"? :D
