I have loaded MWV1 and the SW plugin.

While in Solidworks, clicking "about Maxwell" in the maxwell drop down menu reveals:

Maxwell Render Engine Version RC5.6
SwMaxwell 2006 Version 0_9_1 RC

Is this correct?

Yep - it is the the latest one - The main difference is that in the previous one we had , one could create simple materials within the plugin - now the plugin links into the Material Editor to create all the materials. One can no longer add textures etc in the plugin , but this never worked anyway - so it will be interesting to see how Next Limit implement this in the future.
