Juan,

Now that we don't need to use the plugin for rendering, would it be possible to have a plugin for 2005?

I'm still using SWX2005 for production work so it would be nice to have one. I know this is not a priority and may never be, but I thought I'd ask.

Hi John,

The rendering was not the only important area. In 2005 there were huge limits in the property manager. There is a memory limit, we could not put all the controls needed, there were no tabs.. I would have to do essential changes, but may be we can do a simple mxs exporter. WE will try it ;)

After the fiasco, my clients and I had with installing 2005 SP0. We all decided, independently of each other, that we will wait for SP4 and some will wait for SP5 before installing any release of SolidWorks.

It’s nice not generating SolidWorks RX files every other week, even if 2005 SP5 still has a hell of lot of repeatable bugs, I’ve developed a 6th sense on how to avoid them.

Call me Joanne from now on, happily wearing my big girls blouse.

PS. I’m not actually a transvestite (note to all transvestites reading this, there is nothing to be ashamed of if you choose to wear a big girls blouse it’s entirely your own business)

Yeah dont waste your time on a plugin for 2005 would be my 2cents. 2006 is just as stable now, and like Jonathan said 07 will be out before you know it. Its ok to wish though.

Don't worry John , you'll still need your sixth sense with sw2006 - I think its a requirement for using Solidworks and as for the RX files - I never send them in :D - I always though they were a marketing gimic to make you feel less bad when you crash :D - but seriously - you must have loaded sw2006 to be using Maxwell - Have you found it less stable than sw2005? Perhaps I've been fortunate - but for me sw2005 was a bad memory I would rather forget.

So, is this a known issue?
