what worked superb from alpha to v2 is totally screwed for me since v3 - licensing procedure to be able to use Maxwell.
after not using Mawell for >6 months due to not being able to get it to work I want to give it another try.
So start it up I downloaded Maxwell's most recent release version, started the installation and installed Maxwell and the license manager.
When asked for a license I was already out of the game - I got 1 license for v3, yet in the portal I see 3 license files that I can download... Which one to go with?
Where does it state which license I need to use?
I tried starting the studio that might show the host id in the console so I could maybe find out which license file to download - but I get an error message pointing to the console, which is not switched on by default... So I have to cancel the licensing procedure. And then all the console states is that there is 'no license for product' installed. Yeah. I know. Great.
It's not making me like Maxwell when setting up is so much pita that I want to quit it before even being pissed off by other things...
How do I find out which license file to use? Or shall I just create a new one?
If someone wants to mention that I had more or less the same requests not too long ago:
last time I was trying this - after using it several times suddenly Maxwell doesn't connect to any license any more or the license server rlm was not starting any more whenever windows was restarted. without any changes on windows (except restarting it)... and no way to make it work again. So i gave up, deinstalled Maxwell and now I just wanted to try getting it to work again after some time passed by. maybe my laptop will behave correct now?
Can it be that it irritates the license manager that I'm travelling a LOT and therefore log in from new IP adresses and physical location quite often?
