Different computer and problem from last post a Faculty member is trying to install Maxwell on a home computer. Maxwell render component is crashing (not studio but the render part) if you open the render component directly it always crashes.

Sometimes a warning message comes up immediately when studio is started "Maxwell (v120-intel) has stopped working" and then studio will start. Sometimes studio will start without this warning message. Main problem seems to be the Maxwell render component.

In Studio you can sometimes get fire to start if you lower the cpu threads to 1 or 2 (it works for a bit then crashes). But it always crashes if you click on the render button (however many cpu threads you set it to and if you render material previews within studio it will also crash. You can open geometry from the library with no problems.

Well the support guy got back to me and maxwell said their 32 bit version doesn't work. I know 64 is the way to go but one of the draws of maxwell is that it works on older computers which is another added bonus for education which often relies on older computers. Really they shouldn't advertise a 32 bit version if it doesnt work.

Does anyone know if there was a version 3.0 or 3.1 in 32 bit that worked or have you got 3.2 in 32 bit working.
