Hi,

after I solved the License subject - thanks again Miguel :D , I tried rendering in the network and all seems to work with the clients and different Operating systems (Linux / OSX / Win64) until the "Render Nodes" get the stop command. All "Render Nodes" stop except the one the "Network Monitor" (and the "License Server") is running on. After all the nodes sent the single MXI files it still renders and renders, so that the merging process can't begin. Manual / forced stopping of this node has no impact...

Any suggestions on this?

It would be interesting to know if the fact that node is also running the monitor is affecting. What if you put the monitor on a different machine? is the node running the monitor not stopping properly in that case?

(the license server should not affect here)

I´ll jump on this as well.

Just a simple test. Start a single render on a node via Network Manager. Try to stop the job. Nothing happens.
Try to preview the job. Nothing happens.

Good thing though, is that it is rendering :) But it would be nice to stop it also.

Thanks for the response.

...I thought so :)

I will give it a try and start the "Monitor" on the machine (File-Server) where the "Manager" is running (and all the files are located and saved) that is not running as a "Render - Node". If this doesn't work I try running all apps (Node/Manager/Monitor) on different machines.

I tested several configurations...

The best option in my opinion is, to run "Manager" and "Monitor" and the "Nodes" on different machines.
Running the "Monitor" on a machine, that is involved in the Rendering process sometimes works but sometimes the node on this machine doesn't stop - with my configuration.

After solving the problems involving the license system (my mistakes), my small "Renderfarm" now works perfectly and I'm very happy :D
