Only demo mode of HDR Light Studio is opening..
damn...
Did you already installed the 3.2.0.2 update?
I did but I cannot get HDR Studio 4 working with Maxwell, not even the demo mode (why open a demo mode of a full license anyway?)
It is an issue that was supposedly being solved with that update so, I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

I am very sorry our customers are having this problem and have wasted some time to try and fail.
We are working with Next Limit to resolve this. HDR Light Studio 5 does work though, but we also want 4 to continue to work.

If anyone wants some temp licenses of HDR Light Studio 5, so they can keep lighting with Maxwell Studio 3.2, drop me an email and I can sort this out. mark@lightmap.co.uk
But remember those scenes will not work with HDR Light Studio 4 afterwards.

Thank you seggy. I'm sure that a lot of users will be grateful.
I hope that you team and NL team can find a solution to keep the HDR studio 4 working with Maxwell. I have seen the ver. 5 and its gorgeous! Thank you very much for your help by the way. But HDR 4 is a great product and, for some designers like me, it works perfectly for our current needs. :wink

Please double check if V5 is working also on OSX. For me I did not work, I will also double check today if I am for sure using latest version. But I downloaded few days ago.

Yes unfortunately it is not working on OSX and v 3.2.0.3.
When I press "Launch HDR Light Studio" it is opening the HDR Light studio 5 but its not finding the license.
"No license for product (-1) hdrls_maxwell".
I used default instalation path and location.
Could you pls check it one more time? :(

edit: maybe it is because I have 1 year license and not permanent so it's stored in other place?

Hi guys,

If anyone is having an issue with our software, version 4 or 5, please email: support@lightmap.co.uk
I say this because it is impossible for us to keep an eye on all forums for the software HDR Light Studio works with and to give good quality support to you this way.

If you email us directly, or use the contact form on our web site, we can help solve your problems quickly.
We have dedicated people working to support you in this way.

Best Regards
Mark

SOLVED!

Hello,
my problem was I did not have a license as a file. HDR Light Studio solved the problem for me! And it works perfectly. Best combination ever - HDR Light Studio 5 + Maxwell.

Start HDRLS
Go to Help > Open License Directory
Put the license file in this folder
Restart HDRLS

Thank you!

I am using HDR Light Studio 5. Anyway guys it is really worth to upgrade to v5. For me to have a possibility to use own hdrs textures for the lights was a big, big feature. I see on the webpage u have 30% discount but the offer ends 31st Dec. So hurry up. And no more issue with supporting older versions! :P

You must be out of your mind;)

I bought v4 back then for 425 € including any plugin I needed..

An upgrade, even deducting "generous" 30 percent would cost me 1130 € now.. which is more than double the price, for about 10-15 percent improvement of usability.. I know nobody that could reasonably justify this step..

:-) agree in 100%
I don't understand the price policy for new version at all. It is my only software that upgrade will cost me more than twice (!) of license price. Instead of investing my money in upgrade I will wait and look how this great piece of software will be developing in future.

Completely agree!
HDR Light Studio 4 is a great software and I don't need anything else for now. I don't need a newer version with features that I won't use.
I just need that the version 4 works with Maxwell.
And, if Next Limit or Lightmap are limiting the functionality on purpose... shame on you!

I think it's been repeated enough times that this is really not the case. No need to keep believing that...It was already supposed to be fixed but apparently due to a mix-up the issue wasn't fixed. The next beta release should have this finally fixed and you can check it.
