Hey Guys

So i have a question
I wanted to know if maxwell could use an HDR image sequence to light a animation scene.

And if it could how would one go about doing it

Im creating some HDR images using a chrome ball for a VFX project and we are capturing it in an image sequence as the scene is moving down a road with trees and what not

Which main 3D app are you using? Because I think this depends more on that apps ability to load a sequence of .exr/.hdr files and of the plugin recognizing that and exporting the scene correctly. Since the plugin exports a sequence of MXS files, each of those MXS files can have a different file in that sequence "attached" to it's IBL settings. Please post your question in the relevant plugin forum, the plugin devs or users have a bigger chance of seeing it there.

I've tried something similar to this, as Mihai said it depends on the pugin, using c4d I can render with a sequence of hdri's applied to a large sphere surrounding the scene, BUT I dont get any motion blur with this setup :(

I was trying with a sequence of 360 images captured from google street-view, (converted to hdr) but the result was way too fast as the sequence represents a car doing around 300 mph when playing back at 24fps, and ofcourse the lighting flickers horribly.

I cant really see any way to use hdr for this kind of shot, the only way is to model everything... but would love to hear back, if you do find any solutions.
