Hello,

I would like to improve my Materials, and i was thinking about the best solution for me. So the qustion is: Is it possible to give some projects to Next Limit, and let them check the Materials in relation of the realism, and accuracy. I know this is a lot of work, but i would prefer to pay money for this, in place of a course.

Is it possible?

It seems to me that you are asking for an uncommon service... Doing your job as a CG artist. What I do think is reasonable is to get professional materials made by Next Limit team. Maybe a types of material that everyone will use as a starting point. The real deal in Maxwell is to expertise in materials, the most important part of your learning process.
We all have talked about how mxm gallery has become almost useless, so asking for more support on that makes sense...
Cheers!

Thanks for Answer! I like uncommen solutions... I can't wait of the time when the mxm gallerie has become perfect. By the way, only take perfect Materials from a librery isnt also the work from a CG artist.

Im not working in a big office, where it is easy to interchange knowledge between others. So im looking for another possibility to get feedback in relation of my projects, my materials and my goals.

It's a big difference to understand how the materials work, and how do you can improve a special scene in relations of reality and renderspeed, cause every scene has it's own challenge.

I think more than a year ago I've started a tread regarding our need for a better library.
So when you install maxwell you get not a few samples but a real preset library of 100's of materials - complete and ready to use.
That way mastering materials is less needed and if you do wanna know more - you have lots of examples to check. not just playing with the wizard "textured" material...

I don't get 100 materials when I install Maxwell... :(
Are you asking, stating or guessing choo-chee?

My suggestion is to get tons of materials when you install the software. not just few car paints, arroway etc. but tons.

Tons of materials is nice but fewer and well configured is great! We could have one material for every "kind" of material. We should sort out a list for everyone to write down the "kind" of materials people want to see optimized... But I think NL could somehow tell us how we could help them out. I am sure everyone would gladly help. For me it is important that every material goes through some kind of optimization inside NL maxwell render team...
