hmm, the console has nothing to do with Rhinoll (once in there you in standalone territory; away from Rhino scope).
Also, when adjustments are made, and they are seen in the console, how do they get saved to the image? Is this automatic also?
Yeah, once you adjust the sliders the new brightness is stored in the image in the next file update (Maxwell updates the image file every 2min or so; during render)

I thought there was in rhinoll for maxwell alpha.
No, I would remeber.
Besides, I still have Rhinoll 0.5.5 in this machine and just now double-checked... there is no ISO setting.

There is no ISO control in the alpha version for Rhino. This for sure...I'm using it right now. The Beta is really a nightmare...for me, too many black point on my rendering. So yesterday I had reinstalled the alpha version. And I can say, it's much better than the new version.

I found several black dots on my rendering as well, but I can remove them in PS easily, it didn't bother me that much.

yes, you are right Thomas.
I also prefere the way how it render, the noise seems nicer . Is it odd that i start to compare the beauty of the noise?
I'm really hoping that they can let us choose between this two different render engine, ... or improve a lot the beta version.
And for the kind of work i'm doing, I can not say that's faster :? I still need around 15H to get a good rendering (noise free)

Thomas,

I was wondering, do you think it's possible to use the new maxwell preview and rhinoll 0.6 with the alpha version?

The thought crossed my mind too. The old noise was more fine. Now the noise is more blocky and have to use the middle range control in Neat image.

I agree with you here as well. The new beta takes about as long for my projects too. Its just that, when its done, the sampling level is less but the time is the same (or at least it feels so). Unless the scene is all diffuse, in which case the beta is faster; as tom proved in his tests.

hehe, the best of both worlds :D
No, unfortunately. If you look behind the shortcut for the viewer it is actually calling "mxcl.exe -d" which is the core. So the viewer is integrated to the core.

However, I really think that the patch will make us happy one way or another (people are complaining and stuff). In your shoes, I'd just wait a little...... (hmm, well I am in your shoes... )
