I need to show "flames" in a pot in my scene and am using a tif image and want to use it as an emitter to get more glow. I created an mxi and loaded that into my image emitter texture slot which works fine but I need to make the (white) background of my image transparent, how can I do that?

Thx in advance, Joe

thx, I'll study that and see how that works.

EDIT: Easy enough...it's working. Thank you for the VERY prompt reply...I needed to get this out this weekend :D

This is still very much a wip...doing a lot of these no-materials-applied views for the client so he can see how the shadows will affect the pool deck areas. I will need to enhance the clip map some...need two different ones....maybe some smoke  The fire pots are adjacent to the raised "jacuzzi" with waterfall front edge 8)
