Hi
I got a problem with the texturing of an object (see attachement)
the lower one shows, how it should be and is modelled, the upper one is done by a displacement map (tif, 32bit). Sadly I can't bring rhino to preview the displacement map in the viewport, perhaps because of the 32bit texture.

i tried using realscale or box mapping with a 1m/1m/1m cube, which turned out the same. the object itself (the displaced part) is an extruded curve.
Is this my mistake, or what can I do to avoid this? the hard way would be to split the object ...
Cheers,
kami
edit: I checked again: the texture is just 16bit. I switched it now to jpg for the preview in rhino. I've played around with the mapping a little more. Turns out, it works just fine if I reset it to box mapping. But every time it reloads the file, the texture is rotated back.
