First try looks good...MXM loaded inside rhino are saved.

EDIT: Things are changing, as promised by Pavol, we have the update on friday...and no need to wait midnight. That's so great.

Downloaded the update, and have done a very quick test.

What a big improvement! Just the fact object names and materials now stick when exporting to studio will make a huge difference in my workflow!

I've downloaded it and tried a file that worked before and now get:
Error: UVW channels ( 0 ) on object "HGlides0-521" not enough for material "KERSEN"
Any ideas? I didn't have this before. Otherwise I think the saving of the MXM's has now been solved.

Hallo Pavol,

why is the color map of the rhinoll plastic material still set to the reflectance map of the the second BSDF and not to the first BSDF-Layer?
Please, please correct this problem.

the difference is not the posittion of layers in the material editor. the difference is the effect of each layer. E.g. take blueshinyplastic from the material browser. the first bsdf is called diffuse and here is the color set for the material as reflectance 0. the second layer is called reflactance. this one gives the plastic the shiny reflactance of plastic and nothing else.
E.g. if you map a wodden texture to reflactance 0 at the first bsdf (called diffuse). you get a wodden plastic material. but if you set this map to the reflactance 0 at the second layer (called Reflactance). you will get a material which looks like a shiny metall with a brush of a wodden reflactance. Wait a few seconds an i show you a test rendering.
