Yes, I tried and it's working...except that sometime I get some crash with maxwell viewer but I think it's not relative to rhinoll.
May be the viewer has a bug?

After one hour of rendering a 2000x1500 image with rhinoll 0.5.5 and maxwell 1.2, it seems to render in low quality (many noise).
May be can not used the old version of rhinoll with the new beta?????
But I 'm not really sure. Someone can confirmed?
I will let render much more and see where it's going.

When I download the new file, the rhinoll release documents state clearly:
Rhinoll Release
This is the 0.5 (Alpha) Rhinoll release. It supports Maxwell 1.1.31 (Alpha).
The plugin is compatible with Rhino 3.
You can see Rhinoll release notes here.
Maybe something went wrong with uploading the correct rhinoll to the server...let's hope so :)

Seems that there are no big problems for other software, is it just Rhino that made the bad compatibility ? Or what ? :?:

4 hours of rendering time and I still have a lot of noise :? but I can compare with 3dsmax render and it's the same. So Now I'm sure rhinoll 0.5.5 is really working with maxwell 1.2 :D . That's the good news. About the rapidity...I don't know! Seems to be faster but need to wait more time. I already render the same scene with maxwell 1.1.33 in 14H so still have plenty of time to get a good result with the new version. I hope that I can acheive a good rendering in 7H so it means that it will be 2 time faster which could be already excellent. I hope,hope...hope

After 6 hours, it's appear that the rendering is more blurry than with maxwell 1.1.33. And I feel hard to achieved the same result in half time (7H instead of 14H) .

Very interesting. It seems you are discovering the "lower" range of the average speed increase.

Are you rendering and an indoor scene ? Studio setup ? Lots of dielectrics ? ... what is it ?

Later tonight I will show you the result Thomas.
I'm rendering in a studio an silver object cover by a big dielectrics material...something like an iPod. Anyway I will not show you all the scene because it's for a customer so it's confidential but i will upload some part of the image.

It's believed that the beta should be 4x faster, but if that's the case, what's the point of inputing the engine rendering time ? I mean, would the final time consumed be 1/4 of what I typed ? :?:

Hi Siegfried

It means that in comparison with the alpha for the same time you have 1/4 of the noise.
Or you get the same noise in 1/4 of the time.

Hyltom, thank you for this test. Yeah, in your case it doesn't look like its 2x either

I am thinking, maybe its related to the diffuse+specular rule?
In the new manual, tom writes about plastics, if the diffuse (R+G+B)/7.65 + specular (R+G+B)/7.65 is greater than 100 then the result will be more noise ...

Not sure

If you go to page 20, there is a warning sign (in red / pink) and there he mentions again that if we brake the rule there maybe unwanted noise.
