The only advantage I can see is that you can texture your scene more effectively in Max... but thats just about it.

Most I miss simple colored lights and colored metals and a circular DOF diaphragram.

Also, at the moment I'm not so happy, most of my product design test dosn't work - no other metals (steel or brass), no brush effect, not complex textures and dielectrics needs for ever. The images looks blurry and the reflections of caustics are noisy. HDRI is missing or I can only use LDRI with a special image format.

I will wait.
