I have read here http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3873 about a phong tag. Should it be not useful for Rhino too? On this way it seems to possible to keep the meshes simple or not?

Hi Micha,

It looks to me like the Phong tag is a smoothing method unique to Cinema and it doesn't have anything to do with the actual plug-in except that it plays a part in how M~W creates mesh objects.

Ahh, this could be. Cinema objects are poly objects and will be smoothed for rendering. Sounds logical.
