One of the things I love about Maxwell are the shadows, BUT I'm working on a project where I need harder shadows...can not find how to make them harder. Currently using Skydome with Sun enabled.

Try to post a picture if you can, and let us know what scale and camera settings you're using.

...you are very quick  Am working on that right now, and have another question...probably seems strange to request this, but is there a way in Maxwell to do a ortho non-perspective view? The only way I can think of is to do a really long focal length.

Just rendering up a sample and it looks like the shadows will be hard enough for my purposes...I set the focal length at 10,000...it flipped the render but looks like an ortho view....would be better for this to select something like "orhto" if I could.

You're doing the right thing - Maxwell doesn't have an ortho camera, so you have to do like in real life and use a long lens.

Thx Fernando. I was looking at my 3D model on the north (shaded) side when I posted my question...I just changed the time of day to get the shadow reading against a bright sunlit surface.

I like that. thx again.
