hi.

does anybody use a space ball here (for 3d navigation)? I'm thinking about getting one, but am not so sure of its use in rhino. Since I use the keyboard a lot for typing commands, I would have to switch alot between keyboard and space ball with the left hand.
Any experiences?

Hi

Yes i have a 3dconnexion Spacenavigator PE (cheapest version) and when i work in Rhino or any other application it supports i use this thing. It helps and makes the modeling job easier as you don't have to navigate with the keyboard and if you keep the device close to your keyboard it's no real big problem to jump back and forth between the keyboard and the device for specific commands. It might take some time for you to get used to it but once you do i think it's a timesaver.

Hi Max
Nice to see you in the rhino forum as well. I think I'll give it a try then. The space navigator is not too expensive ...
