Now I have my new workstation (at last...) :) However... :? Low priority doesn't seem to work...? If I render it's practically impossible to get anything done in Rhino - everything is responding very slooowly. Do I have to manually set CPU threads to 3 so Rhino can use one?

Hi Philip,

That sounds a bit strange, I was running on Vista for over a year before my machine blew up, and I found it to be much better than XP at handling multiple processes and threading. To make sure you're running MXCL in low priority, see Scene Manager > Output Settings > Low Priority. To set the number of threads used, see Scene Manager > Render Settings > CPU Threads.

Cheers,

Hi JD!
To make sure you're running MXCL in low priority, see Scene Manager > Output Settings > Low Priority.
Low Priority is "Yes" :) I double-checked... I guess I have to try 3 threads, if that would make a difference.
Thanks!
