I download a material from the mxm gallery...put the mxm in my scene and I'm unable to unlock the settings. Is it possible for a material to be locked? It's not clear if this is an issue exclusive to Rhino since I haven't tried it with Studio.

I've just tried to close out the material editor window and it's locked as well...seems this might be a system issue.

thanks,

Is this the same behavior you reported here? I have never isolated exactly what causes this (since I've never been able to force it to happen), but I changed some things for the next version and anecdotal evidence suggests it might be fixed. In the meantime, to get it 'unlocked', try selecting an object (which has a Maxwell material assigned) in the viewport, then another, or select a material in one of the browsers - a sequence of clicks like this has gotten the dialog back into the loop when I've tried it here.

JD-

If it's not the same, it's very similar...material editor is non-responsive and I can't close it out. I can change the material in the material editor but I'm unable to get to a layer level -- totally frozen. Toggles in the window work...adaptive, dispersion, etc. toggle on/off all seem to work.

Good to hear that it might be addressed in upcoming release.

This is also intermittent though, isn't it? I mean, if you save/restart, will this condition still be present?

Thanks...

Yes, it's intermittent. Seems to happen more frequently on larger/more complex scenes. It's an annoyance more than anything else and at that it seems to be more of an issue with my "older" system.
