Hi Adam,

No, it should work - it does here. Simplest example:

- draw cube
- create Material
- assign a texture to Refl. 0
- set the texture to use Channel 1
- copy the BSDF
- in the new BSDF, switch the texture to Channel 2
- in Rhino Object Properties > Texture Mapping, add two Box projectors
- scale each of the two projector boxes differently
- render

The first BSDF should be using projection 1 and the other should be using projection 2 - do you find that this isn't the case?

Thanks,

JD

This works fine for me.
I got another question concerning realscale. It only works, if the material is assigned directly to an object, not to the layer, right? Is there a reason for this? It would be nice if it would also work on layers.

No, it should work fine assigning by layer - the switch is per-texture, not per-object, so it has to apply to multiple objects, regardless if they have their Material assigned by-layer or by-object.

hmm, I rechecked it. It works sometimes...
try creating a sweeped object on a layer with a realscale texture. The texture won't be correct. Only if you assign the texture directly to the object. Is this true?

That is because the plugin does not detect every kind of way an object may be created or modified. If you create that object, it may not be scaled correctly - but if you then move, scale, or rotate it, you will see the plugin correct the scaling. Also, if you use the Restore Viewport command (last button in the plugin's Functions toolbar) this will cause it to be calculated. I'll can see about listening for more types of changes to get it done automatically too.

JD,

Yes, your example worked, but it does seem to have a problem if the two Rhino channels are different projector types (Ch1=Box, Ch2 = Sphere). Then one of the channels takes over completely. I used the Refresh Viewport Materials command each time.

It worked did work with Ch1 Box and Ch2 Plane though. Is this just me?
Oh, I am still on Rhino 4 SR2 if this matters.
